Whistler real estate statistics for August 2011 are now posted on the Statistics page of my web site, stevecartner.com. Whistler continues to be a Buyer’s market, with plenty of on-going reasons to consider a Whistler purchase: Ridiculously low interest rates, a stable Canadian dollar, the relative strength of the Canadian economy, a large inventory providing a theatre for aggressive negotiation and of course the attractive idea of safely investing in a vacation property in the world’s favourite four-season mountain resort. Talk to me!
july 2011 statistics
Whistler real estate statistics for July continue to demonstrate strength. Recent client activity through my Sotheby’s office, in the center of Whistler Village, confirms there are still more buyers than sellers…. but many are sitting in the wings waiting for the new ski season to beckon, hoping for even further price reductions. Thinking of buying? — be forewarned, there is little doubt in my mind, as the new ski season opens we will see an up-tick on deals done and prices will solidify. Check out my “Statistics” page for a review of Year-To-Date figures and individual months.
visits to other sotheby’s offices
I have just returned from London, New York and Miami where, between some down time with the family, I visited our affiliate Sotheby’s offices. It really provided me with a true appreciation of the power of our brand and the worldwide exposure we are able to bring to all our client’s who put their faith in us to sell their property. It was also interesting to hear all my Sotheby’s colleagues express a keen desire to visit Whistler, as they all know of the resort through other friends, family or media reports. Perhaps one or two strong referrals will follow!
